How to download e-PAN from NSDL portal?

There are two options to download e-PAN through NSDL portal:

  • Download e-PAN using receipt no. ( https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/MPanLogin.html )
  • Download e-PAN using PAN

NSDL does not allow users to download e-PAN after one month of application, whether for a new PAN card or  change in PAN card .

Applicants can apply for e-PAN only at the time of filling the form, both for new PAN card and for change in PAN card, instead of opting for delivery of paper copy of PAN card. In such cases, it is mandatory to write the email address to which the e-PAN will be sent.

How to download e-PAN by acknowledgment number?

One can download e-PAN from NSDL portal by following process:

  • Step 1: Visit NSDL PAN portal to download PAN card by acknowledgment number
  • Step 2: Fill the acknowledgment number given after submitting the PAN card application and other required details like date of birth/incorporation/formation.
  • Step 3: Enter the captcha code shown on the screen and click on “Submit” button to download your ePAN card.

How to download e-PAN from PAN and date of birth?

  • E-PAN card can also be downloaded by mentioning PAN and date of birth. For this follow the following procedure:
  • Step 1: Visit e-PAN downloading portal
  • Step 2: Fill the form with required information like PAN, Date of Birth, Aadhaar, GSTN (optional)
  • Step 3: Agree to the terms and conditions, enter the security code and click on “Submit” to download the ePAN card for free

How to download e-PAN from UTIITSL portal?

UTIITSL is an alternative portal from where applicants can apply for a new PAN card or make corrections in the existing PAN. Applicants who have applied through UTIITSL can download e-PAN online. If e-PAN is downloaded within 30 days of issuance of PAN card, no additional fee is charged.

E-PAN can be downloaded from UTIITSL portal by following the following procedure:

  • Step 1: Visit the e-PAN downloading portal of UTIITSL
  • Step 2: Fill the required information like PAN, Date of Birth/Date of Incorporation, GSTIN (optional) and Security Code and submit the application
  • Step 3: Check whether the mobile number and email ID given in the PAN card is correct and enter the security code and tick “Declaration”
  • User has the option to receive OTP on mobile number, email ID or both
  • An OTP is sent on the selected option
  • Step 4: Enter OTP and click on “ Submit ”
  • Step 5: If the PAN issue period is more than one month, the user will have to pay Rs 8.26. Will be directed to make online payment of
  • Step 5: Once the process is successful, the user can download the e-PAN online
  • Note: To download ePAN card online through UTIITSL website, the user must first register a valid and active mobile number or email with his/her PAN record with the Income Tax Department.
  • The link to download ePAN will be sent to the user's registered mobile number through SMS/or email. User can download ePAN by clicking on this link and using OTP received on email/mobile. If email and mobile number are not registered, the user should first register a valid mobile number or email by applying through Change/Correction Request Application to avail the e-PAN download facility later.
